DLG (Dark Latin Groove) were formed in the mid-'90s when acclaimed producer Sergio George decided to bring together singer Huey Dunbar and rapper James "Da Barba" de Jesus to craft a brand-new Latin urban group that mixed salsa with hip-hop and reggae. After enjoying radio success for their brave clash of styles the duo recruited a third member, Fragancia, in '97 and scored a tropical chart number one with the lead single from their sophomore release, Swing On. The band parted ways in '01 but re-emerged with a new line-up for 08's GRAMMY®-nominated Renacer.
