Dave Bartholomew: The Songwriters

A gifted musician, composer and bandleader, Dave Bartholomew helped establish the foundations of rock ‘n’ roll in the mid-20th century. With a knack for evocative songwriting and an ability to craft memorable arrangements, the New Orleans pioneer propelled the careers of artists like Elvis Presley and Fats Domino, the latter of whom he collaborated with on dozens of songs, including Domino’s breakthrough record, 1955’s “Ain’t That a Shame”.
