Dann Huff: The Session Musicians

Dann Huff’s success as a producer/songwriter would be plenty for most people, but he’s a prolific session guitarist as well. Not one for flash, he serves the spirit of the song. That’s him cranking out roadhouse twang on Tim McGraw’s “I Like It, I Love It” and amping up the drama on Lady A’s power ballad “What If I Never Get Over You”. He’s a pop journeyman, too, whether adding regal licks to Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On” or tucking into the skintight grooves of Madonna’s “Like a Prayer”.
