Daniela Araújo Essentials

São Paulo’s Daniela Araújo brings a refreshing twist to Christian music. Her self-titled debut LP in 2011 introduced a fully blossomed and accomplished singer-songwriter, producer and arranger. That’s immediately clear on cuts like the dreamlike “De Deus” where she weaves supple vocals through swelling strings and longing piano. Since then she’s tapped into indie pop and electronic music as she artfully explores new directions. Her collab with Rubinsky Rbk and Jotta A on Spanish-language single “911” is an evocative mix of pop, rap and R&B tackling difficult, personal issues.
