Broadcast: Influences

Broadcast's eerie, evocative sound drew on an unusual set of influences. They loved krautrock bands like Can, psychedelic rockers like The United States of America, '60s girl groups like The Ronettes and the otherworldly soundtracks of Ennio Morricone and Delia Derbyshire. Carrying on the tradition of ‘90s groups like Stereolab, Broadcast combined pop and the avant-garde in unexpected ways.
