Formed by members of Red Tape Apocalypse to release their own records, NYC label True Panther Sounds has grown to become a Matador Records–owned home to some of indie's most compelling voices. The label owes much of its success to Girls' acclaimed 2009 debut, and also counts on acts like King Krule and Glasser to continue its tradition of audio adventurousness.
