Founded by a couple of exiles from ESP-Disk, Brooklyn's Northern Spy Records has become one of the biggest outfits in experimental music. Embracing free jazz, heavy rock and strange folk experiments, the label has opened its doors to names as big as Arto Lindsay, Thurston Moore and Sean Lennon, and as under-the-radar as ZS, Necks and The Home of Easy Credit.
