It's easy to see why so many rock historians believe Memphis is the birthplace of rock music. As the home of legendary Sun Studios—which produced artists like Elvis Presley and Jerry Lee Lewis—Memphis was a mecca for the burgeoning rock ‘n' roll sound of the early-'50s.
