There may be nothing better in life than the freaky 8-bit neo-dub of Germany's Jahtari Records. Their roster exists in some magic netherworld where ‘70s dub is translated by ‘80s video game music and the result is head-turning, minimalist stuff—it's somehow both chintzy and unfathomably deep. Throw in a few fleet-tongued emcees and a dub poet, and we're hooked.
