For Fade to Mind, the Los Angeles-based sister label of London's Night Slugs, danceable and strange are not mutually exclusive qualities. Mike Q's ballroom house, Massacooramaan's footwork and Nguzunguzu's grime-soaked club cuts are as alien as they are arresting, while R&B diva Kelela warms things up without sounding any less otherworldly.
