Auckland's Dawn Raid tapped into the New Zealand hip-hop and R&B scene in the '00s. You might have heard their acts without even knowing it. Adeaze, two brothers with smooth, simpatico R&B harmonies, were sampled by Mariah Carey. And rapper Savage, a big man with a booming delivery, blew up even bigger when he teamed with crooner Akon.
