Dapper Cuban singer Beny Moré charmed Latin America with a voice that evoked joy, brutality, sensuality and sorrow—listen to his long, floating notes in "Maracaibo Oriental"—when singing boleros, sons montuno, mambos, guarachas and cha-cha-chas. His career took off following a move to Mexico in 1945, where he recorded mambos like "Bonito y Sabroso" with Perez Prado. After returning to Cuba, he enthralled audiences with his Banda Gigante and hits like "Que Bueno Baila Usted" (You Dance Great) until his death in 1963.
