Aya Nakamura came to the world’s attention in 2015 with her viral hits and cut-and-paste approach to R&B. Her breakout song, the tropical “Djadja”, rose up the charts, elevating Nakamura’s star status with it. Whichever direction Nakamura follows, it’s likely she’ll take her earworm melodies and slick underground beats.
