About Vikki Carr
Vikki Carr's elegant, yet understated, vocals lent themselves to many a style, and indeed, the Texas-born singer's career took many a twist and turn. She began as a pop singer, scoring her first minor hit in 1962 with her version of "He's a Rebel," and her biggest hit in 1966 with the ornate, French-pop influenced #3 hit "It Must Be Him." Her greatest success came, however, in the Latin markets as in the 1980s, Carr began recording in Spanish, and by the '00s, was consistently among the best-selling artists in many Central and South American countries.
