About The Transits

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Growing up in South Africa in the late 80's and 90's it was quite hard to hear about cool new international bands. But one day we met this American skater kid and in his hand he held the cassette for Pixies Come on Pilgrim. Our minds were blown. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Depeche Mode, Violator (Deluxe) Bonus Tracks Edition Pixies, Surfer Rosa (2007 Remaster) blink-182, Blink-182 (Bonus Track Version) Blink 182 - For us this album is a masterpiece. Super melodic and incredibly powerful. Pixies - Timeless with a raw beauty. Quiet, loud. Quiet, loud. Step and repeat. Depeche Mode - Released in 1990 but could easily have come out today. Genius. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “When You Went Away” This song really captures the sound we want to represent. Indie Rock mixed with Punk Rock energy and Synth-pop. Lyrically this is also a very emotional song about loss. We want listeners to interpret that loss in their own way and connect with us. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of the most memorable things for us is getting on to two Apple Music Playlists. We noticed that we really started to reach audiences far and wide almost immediately. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? We'd love to colab with some amazing artists that we admire. Someone like Mark Hoppus. We also just want to reach as many people as possible and share our music worldwide.
