In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Owning the Miseducation of Lauren Hill - a whole new world exploded in my ears and spirit. I listened from start to finish, studying the lyrics - my love of music, singing and songwriting took a whole new meaning of inspiration and purpose. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Jazmine Sullivan, Heaux Tales Lauryn Hill, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill Mariah Carey, Butterfly All three albums have a flavour of soul/rnb/pop melodies and elite lyricism/storytelling that I resonate with and move me to write and sing, get better at my craft. Tell us why you chose this song. “Fly” My first single - It kinda wrote itself as more of a melodic journal entry and represents my personal journey with learning when I’ve outgrown people and situations and giving myself full permission to find peace, move on and rise to what’s next.
