About Robin Williamson

After the breakup of the Incredible String Band in 1974, multi-instrumentalist Robin Williamson departed for Los Angeles and a solo career. He recorded a handful of exquisite albums with his Merry Band, an ensemble comprising harpist Sylvia Wood, Chris Caswell and Jerry McMillan, before pursuing a prolific solo career beginning with 1981’s SONGS OF LOVE & PARTING. In addition to literary projects and solo offerings, Williamson also provided soundtracks for television series and theatre productions. He exercised complete control over his recording career, personally financing each release before licensing the finished product to a record label. In 1999, Williamson reunited with ex-Incredible String Band member Clive Palmer for AT THE PURE FOUNTAIN.
