Robert Shaw Chamber Singers

About Robert Shaw Chamber Singers

The Robert Shaw Chamber Singers is one the fine choral and vocal ensembles founded and conducted by the legendary American choral conductor, Robert Shaw (1916-1999), who attained fame as the conductor of the Robert Shaw Chorale. While serving as conductor of the Atlanta Symphony, he also founded the 200-voice Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus and the much smaller Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chamber Chorus; the Robert Shaw Chamber Singers represented a continuation of the ASO Chamber Chorus. Based in Atlanta, the Robert Shaw Chamber Singers established a regular series of non-orchestral concerts at Atlanta's Spivey Hall.
