About Rajiv Dhall

An emotive singer, songwriter, and producer, Rajiv Dhall is known for his hooky blend of acoustic- and electronic-tinged pop. He initially emerged to viral success in the 2010s posting popular covers videos online before finding success with his own material, including the 2020 EP When I'm Alone. Hailing from Canton, Michigan, Dhall originally formed the emo-pop outfit TwentyForSeven while in high school and spent several years fronting the band with some success, even appearing on E!'s Opening Act in 2002. During this period, Dhall also began uploading solo cover songs online to various social media platforms and eventually gathered a large following. In 2015, he released his version of the One Direction song "Just Can't Let Her Go," which entered the Top 200 of the iTunes songs chart. The following year, he took home the iHeartRadio Much Music Video Award for Fan Fave Vine Musician. Along with his continued cover songs, Dhall returned to his original work and in 2018 released the piano-driven ballad "Happier." An EP, When I'm Alone, arrived in 2020 and featured the songs "Bad" and "Habits." ~ Matt Collar
