It's common for two friends to try playing some music after a few beers too many, but not many of them end up making a career out of it. Peak Twins, however, are the exception: Liam Kenny and Joel Carey were two guys sharing a house with friends in Keswick, Adelaide, Australia in 2010 when after knocking back more than their share of drinks, they started jamming on some songs. The recording showed they had genuine promise, with Kenny's rough but incisive guitar lines facing off against the loose but quietly impassioned tone of Carey's vocals. In 2013, Bedroom Suck, the Australian indie label that worked with Scott & Charlene's Wedding and Bitch Perfect, signed Peak Twins, and their self-titled debut album appeared in late 2013. ~ Mark Deming
