In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My Father took me to see joe Cocker at the State Theatre when I was 5 years old. I asked him what was wrong with the guy singing, then fell asleep. I think I was overwhelmed. It was my father's music collection that wired my brain for music. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Elvis Costello, Spike Nick Drake, Pink Moon The Beatles, Revolver Revolver is the beginning of the family tree for most modern music it spans genres and was recorded on a 4-track - incredible. Pink Moon is the human soul in music form without production tricks. Spike is the first album I obsessed over as a kid. Tell us why you chose this song. “When You Move” This song I wrote the moment I realised what it was to become a father. The recording itself is special as it was a single take, live in the studio with some of my favourite musicians. I had an out-of-body experience during the take you hear.
