About Paul Curtis

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was about 5 my family attended the wedding of some family friends. At the reception, to my parents' embarrassment, I dragged my little brother onto the stage with me and performed Rivers Of Babylon by Boney M, encouraging everyone to join in! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Queen, Live at Wembley Stadium The Kinks, Phobia The Who, Who's Next (Remastered 2022) Live At Wembley is the pinnacle of live rock music! Relentless energy! Phobia is so underrated, but is as fine a rock album as you’ll ever hear. Who's Next contains Won't Get Fooled Again, which is 8 mins 34 secs of rock perfection! Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Try To Live Your Dreams (30th Anniversary Edition)” The standout from my earliest foray into song writing. A permanent fixture in my live repertoire for 30 years and I finally got it to sound the way I'd envisioned it. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The 2005 Pulse Battle of the Bands, in Bradford, at which I beat all of the bands in my heat to reach the final. This meant an unexpected encore for which I was a bit drunk, but I pulled it off and it was exhilarating! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? To finish recording and release my rock opera, to perform with any of my heroes, to have a #1 hit and to win an Ivor Novello!
