Pat Hervey grew up in Toronto singing as a hobby while in high school. Heard at an amateur show, Hervey was soon signed by Canadian CBC-TV to appear on Holiday Ranch and Country Hoedown. Art Snider then recruited her for his Chateau label. Hervey recorded several hits in the early '60s, including "Mr. Heartache" and "Tears of Misery," but left to raise a family. ~ John Bush
