About NOFX

The long-running California-based punk rock band NOFX is best known for their popular 1994 album, Punk in Drublic. ∙ Band founder Michael “Fat Mike” Burkett got into punk rock while attending summer camp at age 13, when fellow camper and future Vandals bassist Joe Escalante played him a Ramones album. ∙ Their 1990 EP, The P.M.R.C. Can Suck on This, was the first record ever issued by Fat Mike’s Fat Wreck Chords, the influential punk label that went on to release more than 150 albums. ∙ The melodic hardcore blast Punk in Drublic, which went Gold in the US, was ranked No. 6 on Kerrang!’s list of The 51 Greatest Pop-Punk Albums of All Time. ∙ In 2003, the politically charged The War On Errorism reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Independent Albums chart. ∙ NOFX has sold more than 8 million records worldwide and is cited as a major influence by such punk bands as Anti-Flag, Blink-182, MxPx, Sum 41, and Unwritten Law.
