About National Product

Getting together as a group of music-loving friends hailing from the Hawaiian island of Oahu, National Product knew that to have the best shot of making it in the rock business, they would have to bring their show to the mainland; thus, the guys relocated to sunny Southern California in 2001. Mixing aggressive rock and emo-laced lyrical couplets, the band -- by now consisting of singer Danny Casler, drummer Rob Caveney, guitarists Stan Moniz and Jeff Feuerhaken, bassist Nathan Elliot, and keyboardist Dan Niles -- fit right in to its new surroundings and quickly began building up a fanbase. The group booked shows across the United States (including dates in Alaska and back home in Hawaii) and in Mexico, and over time, they managed to share stages with bands like Rise Against, Saosin, New Found Glory, and Yellowcard. National Product contributed a track ("Disarm") to the Smashing Pumpkins tribute album put out by Blood Loss Records in 2005 entitled Shot Full of Diamonds. They eventually inked a deal with fledgling indie label R&M Artist Records and entered the studio to record their debut full-length with producer James Paul Wisner (Dashboard Confessional, Paramore). Six months of writing and recording in Orlando during the second half of 2006 resulted in the album Luna, which was subsequently released in August 2007. ~ Corey Apar
