About N.a.s.H

Following the trail of Backstreet Boys, Take That, and other Anglo-Saxon boy bands so in vogue during the '90s, Nash carved themselves a niche in the Spanish scene with their pleasant pop songs and colorful choreographies, mainly catering to a teenage audience. Esteban Piñero Camacho ("Basty"), Michael Hennet Sotomayor ("Mikel"), Francisco Javier Álvarez Colinet ("Javi"), and Antonio Martos Ortiz ("Ony") formed Nash in 2005. Due to some legal obstacles, the band had to change its name to D'Nash, and it was under the new moniker that it recorded Capaz de Todo, the group's debut album from 2006, with the aid of producers Carlos Quintero and Mar de Pablos. The record blended pop, modern R&B, and soft hip-hop influences and enjoyed moderate success, selling a total of 20,000 copies. A year later, D'Nash enrolled in a TV contest to represent Spain in Eurovision 2007, which won them larger exposure. "I Love You Mi Vida" was the song they chose, but it only received enough votes to reach the 20th position out of 24 competitors. A new version of Capaz de Todo was reissued in 2007, with bonus tracks including "I Love You Mi Vida" and a cover of "Stand by Me." ~ Efrén del Valle Peñamil
