About Mother Goose

Ever since their formation in 1991, the Helsinki, Finland-based three-piece Mother Goose have been churning their hybrid of dream pop and thick, distorted guitars. With this sound appearing on several EPs and compilation albums, the lineup of Anti (vocals/guitar), Eija (bass/vocals), and Kare (drums) released their debut full-length, Too Many Tintins, through Blast First Records in 1994. Following comparisons to the likes of My Bloody Valentine, the Fall, and Sonic Youth, the band self-released their follow-up album, High Anxiety, in 1996 before signing to Seriously Groovy Music. The EP Little Richard resulted in 2000, followed by the Village single that same year. ~ Mike DaRonco
