About Michael Waldron

Founder of the London Choral Sinfonia, Michael Waldron is among Britain's top choral conductors. He is also active in orchestral music and opera, with a wide repertory in the latter, ranging from Gilbert & Sullivan to contemporary works. In 2011, Waldron became the assistant director of music at Chelsea Old Church in London, a position he held until 2022. Waldron became director of the Epworth Choir in the city of Woking in 2014, and he remained in that position as of 2022. In 2015, he founded the London Choral Sinfonia; he remained that group's conductor in 2022. It is with that group that Waldron has mostly recorded, beginning with the 2019 release O Holy Night. In 2022, Waldron and the London Choral Sinfonia issued the album Colourise, featuring the premiere recording of a work by Lennox Berkeley.
