In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I was proud of my parents musical taste. Earth Wind and Fire, the Chi-Lites, Aretha Franklin. It didn't take long to get suckered in by the emotional pull of women like Billie Holiday and Nina Simone. This music became a tradition in our household. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Corinne Bailey Rae, Corinne Bailey Rae Emilíana Torrini, Love in the Time of Science Norah Jones, Come Away With Me I believe the essence of music is in honesty and connectivity, the ideal performance a blend of tangible expression and quiet composure. Tell us why you chose this song. “My Heart” Singing the Billie Reid penned lyric: "Take MY HEART it's dead and cold, tear my breast as I get old. It's like my sorrow's still untold, and still as if my soul's been sold again", touches me deeply. More than any song I have ever performed. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Collaborating with Billie Reid are some of the moments I cherish the most. He's an extraordinary man. A gifted poet, but more importantly, a passionate advocate for our planet's future. His commitment to environmental causes is truly inspiring. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I'm on a journey to discover the limitless possibilities of sound, emotion, and technique.
