Killeen, Texas-based rapper/dancer Devante Pirtle (aka King Critical) originally known for uploading dance routines to social media, now creates music with plenty of bounce. Born in Tennessee, Pirtle grew up as the eldest of five siblings. He went on to study business at Middle Tennessee University, which he applied to his knowledge of virtual trends to define himself as an online personality. After uploading numerous short viral dances, his popularity skyrocketed when he was noticed by various celebrities, including Cardi B and Missy Elliot.
