JC Caylen

Best known as a YouTube personality with several channels and millions of followers, Jc Caylen made a dent in the music world during the mid-2010s when he compiled his favorite electronic tunes into a popular series of compilations titled Neptones. He started his first YouTube channel in 2010, and in 2012 he co-founded the popular YouTube collective Our2ndLife along with Ricky Dillon, Connor Franta, Kian Lawley, Sam Pottorff, and Trevor Moran. Caylen's Neptones -- containing downtempo, EDM, and electropop tracks by up-and-coming artists such as Jai Wolf and Illenium -- hit number one on Billboard's Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart following its November 2015 release. Neptones, Ch. II, heavier on vocal-based tunes, followed in 2016, and was also a chart success. ~ Paul Simpson
