About Jackie O Motherfucker
Essentially a vehicle for musical experimentalist Tom Greenwood, Jackie-O Motherfucker sports a constantly revolving line-up, not to mention an often maddeningly mercurial sonic aesthetic. Since its inception in the mid 1990s. the ever-shifting collective has embraced a myriad of sounds and style from free jazz to noise damaged improv to celestial psychedelic drones to gentle folk. The final result makes for one of the most interesting projects to fall under the umbrella of the New Weird American sensibility. Jackie-O Motherfucker's profile has grown considerably thanks to several appearances at the on-going All Tomorrow's Parties festival.
