About Jack Nolan

I was a very little boy, and on my father's turntable I vividly recall hearing the stones jumping jack flash from get your ya yas out, I was struck by the looseness and rebellion of it all, and the loud crowd caught up in all the mayhem. I loved it. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bob Dylan, Fragments - Time Out of Mind Sessions (1996-1997): The Bootleg Series, Vol. 17 (Deluxe Edition) The Rolling Stones, Exile On Main Street (2010 Remaster) Fragments Bob Dylan is a giant these songs the band & remixes are superb. Exile, so loose but it all comes together rock music as it should be with a highlight for me, Loving Cup. Nick Cave an Aust treasure, beautifully crafted songs & superb lyrics. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “The Bronte Train” This captures my life from childhood growing up in Sydney on the beaches, memories of grandparents, surfing, family and blazing sunshine, the impermanence of it all and how life moves on with or without us. Childhood memories seed into my brain. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? There's been many, but to choose one recently, my song Hold On from Songs for Hemingway included a cameo from my friend Wynonna Judd the Nashville superstar who dropped by to sing it with me. As we sat together, I thought now I get it! That voice! Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Having recorded with so many great US artists, I'd love to put a band together with my US friends and tour through the US. My home country has a rich tradition but American music runs so deep in the regions. I'd love to be submerged in that.
