Gutter Instinct

A decibel-crushing, uncompromising Swedish death metal unit in the vein of Napalm Death, Cannibal Corpse, and Morbid Angel, Gutter Instinct was founded in 2012 around the talents of Oscar Persson, Hannes Hellman, and Thomas Ernemyr. Based out of Helsingborg, the band issued a well-received demo tape shortly after forming. After some lineup retooling that saw the band solidify into a five-piece featuring Ernemyr (vocals), Persson (guitar), Hellman (guitar), Simon Isakssn (bass), and Ola Håkansson (drums), Gutter Instinct inked a deal with Prosthetic Records and issued their debut EP, Insurrection. The following year saw the band release their debut studio long-player, Age of the Fanatics, also via Prosthetic. ~ James Christopher Monger
