About Fred Thomas

One of the most influential figures on Michigan's indie rock scene, Fred Thomas is a remarkably prolific musician and songwriter who has been involved in a wealth of projects, including Chore, Warren Defever's His Name Is Alive, Lovesick, Flashpapr, City Center, and Swimsuit. He is best known as the founder and leader of the celebrated indie pop band Saturday Looks Good to Me. Thomas released his first proper solo album in 2002, Everything Is Pretty Much Totally F****d Up, and a steady stream of recordings -- including 2012's Kuma -- followed as he juggled his many other activities. Thomas is also a writer who covers contemporary music and publishes the zine Deflects Mirror. ~ Mark Deming
