A popular social media personality and vlogger, Erika Costell translated her success online into a successful pop career. Emerging in 2017 as a member of YouTuber Jake Paul's Team 10 collective, Costell achieved almost immediate fame, releasing videos like I Married Jake Paul and garnering millions of views. She quickly expanded upon her normal prank, vlog, and reaction videos with songs, issuing a video for the Costell, Paul, and Uncle Kade single "Jerika," which topped online charts and hit the Billboard Hot 100. Born in Bedford, Michigan in 1992, Erika Costell became interested in performing at a young age, and by her teens she was cheerleading and modeling professionally. Later, she attended Middle Tennessee State University, where she graduated with a degree in business administration. After college, she moved to Los Angeles, where she joined YouTube sensation Jake Paul's Team 10 talent incubator and vlogger channel, first as a crew member and later as a star of her own videos.
