About Crime Boss

The Houston-based gangsta rapper first appeared in 1994, guesting on Eightball & MJG’s debut ON THE OUTSIDE LOOKING IN. Signing with Tony Draper’s Suave House label, Crime Boss went on to release his own solo debut the next year. With G-Funk-inspired production by T-Mix, ALL IN THE GAME introduced the H-Town native’s take on a traditionally West Coast sound. Two years later, Crime Boss collaborated with producers E-A-Ski, Roger Tausz, and CMT for his 1997 sophomore effort, CONFLICTS AND CONFUSION. His career slowed following that release, although the Boss returned in 2006 via a hook up with Lil' Flip on the fellow Houston MC's Clover G label.
