About Bridget O'Shannessy

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I used to sing little Irish ditties with my grandad on the farm when I was really little. Then that snowballed into Johnny Cash songs, then Taylor Swift songs, then my own. Now I write with my brother, Danny. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Johnny Cash, I Walk the Line Sabrina Carpenter, emails i can’t send fwd: The 1975, I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it The lyrics, the context, the stories, the artists. I love everything about these albums. I put a lot of weight in lyrics - when I'm writing I will sit with a song and make sure each word is adding to the story, these albums do just that. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Sydney Street” Writing this song was my toe-dip into pop and it was the first time I didn't feel confined in a writing session. I enjoyed everything the process from collaborating with my brother to performing it live for the first time at the Powerhouse. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I've been lucky enough to have some pretty wild memories, but I'd have to say my favourite was meeting Jimmy Choo. We sat next to each other at dinner and I had no idea who he was until I left - a blessing in disguise. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Hell yeah, but that's for me to know and you to find out.
