About Black Cat Bones

Black Cat Bones were a blues-rock group from London founded in the late '60s by Paul Kossoff (guitar), Stuart Brooks (bass), and Simon Kirke (drums). Kossoff and Kirke left to form Free, and Brooks recruited Brian Short (vocals), Derek Brooks (guitar), Rod Price (guitar, vocals), and Phil Lenoir. This unit cut Black Cat Bones' only album, Barbed Wire Sandwich, in 1970, and it has been reissued several times in the digital era. ~ William Ruhlmann
