About Ben Glassberg

Ben Glassberg is a conductor who landed major posts both inside and outside Britain while still in his twenties. He is equally active in symphonic music and opera. Glassberg made his recording debut playing tambourine on the album In terra pax: A Christmas Anthology. In 2019, Glassberg became the principal conductor of Glyndebourne on Tour, with a term ending in 2021. Glassberg soon added other posts to his resume; as of 2022, he was the music director of the Opéra de Rouen Normandie, associate guest conductor of the Orchestre National de Lyon, and principal guest conductor designate of the Volksoper in Vienna. In 2022, he made his debut as a primary artist on a recording of Britten's The Turn of the Screw.
