About Amanda Palmer
A singer, songwriter, pianist, writer, and performance artist with an experimental bent, Amanda Palmer was known as leader of theatrical-punk group the Dresden Dolls during the 2000s before embarking on a solo career in 2007. Her debut album, Who Killed Amanda Palmer, arrived in 2008. By that time, she had formed the high-concept duo Evelyn Evelyn, who released their sole full-length in 2010. Her highest-charting solo set, 2012's Theatre Is Evil, was released independently and reached the Top Ten. Palmer published the self-help memoir The Art of Asking in 2014, and her third long-player, There Will Be No Intermission, followed in 2019. In the meantime, her various side projects included collaborations with Ben Folds, Jherek Bischoff, Brendan Maclean, her father, Jack Palmer, and her husband, writer Neil Gaiman. ~ Marcy Donelson
