Ulte Seedhe Gaane has the Delhi rapper—who was one of Apple Music’s Up Next artists for India in 2022—in a more pensive mood. It opens with American punk poet and singer Patti Smith discussing freedom and art before leads straight into “Generational Act”, a track where Yungsta ponders why people don’t follow their dreams. The record is all about sonic risks, like the choppy beats on “It’s Crazy” and the dominating synths on “Crosshair”.
