For Now

For Now

When an authority like Liam Gallagher co-signs a band, you can bet they've passed the smell test. That's what happened to DMA's. On For Now, their second album, the Sydney trio goes heavy on melody and reverb, and an occasional Hammond organ lends their sound extra warmth. There are proper stadium anthems like “Dawning” and “Warsaw”, while “Lazy Love” transforms from acoustic strum into a scuzz-rock affair. Tommy O'Dell’s magnetic voice paints pictures like Aztec Camera’s Roddy Frame with the sing-song delivery of Ben Gibbard.
