Sky-high rock hooks and stadium swagger are not new concepts for upstart guitar bands—but they’re delivered with thumping panache on this second album from Canterbury’s Moose Blood. Blush was mostly recorded in Los Angeles and there’s a sun-warmed grandeur to these gritty emo tales of stolen cars (“Sway”) and lost love (“Honey”). Meanwhile, “Glow”, in the best possible way, sounds precision-engineered to echo around a packed festival field.
