Surveying 2017’s volatile political and social landscape, Anti-Flag are as defiant and furious as they’ve ever been. Having recruited Good Charlotte’s Benji Madden as co-producer, however, the band have channeled that revolutionary spirit into their most polished and crisply melodic sound yet. Ska shanty “When the Wall Falls” declares solidarity with the marginalized and demonized, while “American Attraction” rages against the politics of distraction with fierce, metallic riffs before the quartet take their axes to symbols of white supremacy on the thrilling punk rush of “Racists.”
