Before Kompakt signed them, Italy's Hunter/Game recorded for Sasha's Last Night on Earth label, and you can hear the influence of classic progressive house on their debut album. They favour soaring synthesiser leads, intricate drum programming and patient arrangements that evolve with stately grace. Tracks like "Adaptation" and "Declino", with their sweeping pads and dubby sparkle, seem tailor-made for dancing under the stars. They experiment with vocals on "Silver", which began as a remix of Iceland's Kúra, and "Ashes", in which they stretch their own voices into strange, wraithlike shapes.
