This Melbourne-via-Christchurch bunch may have their roots in the drum ‘n' bass world, but over time they've completely transended that scene. By combining organic instruments with electronic textures they've forged a boundary-bashing sound that pays homage to the band's roots in dance music but has expanded to include flashes of everything from R&B to jazz, dub and pop. And not only has the aptly named Shapeshifter's mercurial music been embraced by fans in their part of the world, they've entranced audiences all across Europe too.
