Dominique Cravic

About Dominique Cravic

French singer/guitarist Dominique Cravic debuted in 1983 with Cordes et Lames. Around the release of Juju Doudou (1985), he met American underground comics legend Robert Crumb, and the two recorded Cocktail d'Amour (1987), which marked the debut of Les Primitifs du Futur. In subsequent years, Cravic continued to collaborate with a long list of musicians on a variety of projects. In 1994, he reunited with Crumb for Trop de Routes, Trop de Trains. Five years later came the third Primitifs du Futur album, World Musette (1999), a much more ambitious effort. Tribal Musette (2008) continued to infuse musette with jazz, blues, and world music. ~ Jason Birchmeier
