Alliteration can be a tough sell in pop music, but that doesn’t stop the Canadian rap vet from opening “P.O.P.” (power of p*ssy) with a mouthful. Over a dark instrumental from Ben Billions, Belly leans in with all of his weight, delivering bars that would force even the most seasoned battle rappers to tighten their do-rag strings. “Perfection personified, I was powerless in her presence/Acting all possessive, I tried to buy her possessions.” If the splurging he cites doesn’t impress, Belly might try playing her the first verse of “P.O.P.”
