Ella Fitzgerald, Cheek to Cheek: The Very Best of Ella Fitzgerald Etta James, Gold: Etta James Lauryn Hill, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill Lauryn, Ella and Etta are all huge inspirations to me. Lauryn and Etta for the grit in their voices, Ella because everything she sang turned to gold. They all made it look effortless and changed the trajectory of females in jazz and soul. Tell us why you chose this song. “Amore” I love this song because there's so much joy in it sonically and lyrically. The trumpet and the sax just evoke that euphoric feeling. This is the closest I could ever get to describing what love is and that's why the song is called "amore".
